I am always pleased to welcome constituents to Westminster.

Everyone should do at least one tour of the Palace of Westminster. Its splendour, beauty and history make it un-missable. A tour takes about an hour-and-a-half and is usually conducted by one of the specialist guides at no cost. Monday and Tuesday mornings are best.

Another option is to climb up the 300-odd steps inside the Clock Tower and have a look at Big Ben. It’s a bit of a climb, and it might make some people a bit dizzy, but well worth doing if you can. It’s very interesting. This needs to be booked a little in advance. Again, there is no cost.

I can also sometimes obtain tickets for Prime Minister’s Questions on Wednesdays when parliament is sitting. They are quite difficult to obtain, but it is possible. Tickets for other days, either of the Commons or the Lords, are more easily obtained. There are no charges for tickets.

If you own a company or run a charity, I am always pleased to arrange for you to hold a lunch or a dinner or a reception within the Palace. Again, these need to be booked quite a while in advance. Charges are made for these by the House authorities, I’m afraid!

To take advantage of any of these opportunities, please email me at robertson@parliament.uk   by telephone on 0207 219 4196
