I was very pleased indeed to be returned as the Member of Parliament for Tewkesbury
at the recent General Election. It has been my pleasure and privilege to have served
the area since 1997 and I look forward to doing so for this Parliamentary term.
The
boundaries of the seat changed this time. I lost Leckhampton, Up Hatherley and Warden
Hill to Cheltemham, but gained Longlevens from Gloucester and Swindon Village Ward
from Cheltenham. These changes were as a result of decisions taken by the Boundary
Commission.
I should like to take this opportunity of thanking everyone who turned
out to vote for me. Equally, I would say that I shall do my best to represent the
interests of everyone in the constituency, regardless of how they voted or if they
didn't vote at all. That is the role of a Member of Parliament.
With that in mind,
please do not hesitate to contact me if you feel I can help you with an issue or
even if you just would like to let me have your views on anything. I shall be pleased
to hear from you.
